About the compiler

Asaf Fulks

Asaf David Fulks — the compiler of Torah: Word by Word — is an attorney, a computer scientist, and an award-winning music producer. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Denison University and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Taft Law School, where he delivered the commencement address, and he is a member of the California Bar. In 2005 he founded The OC Recording Company, an internationally acclaimed studio and audio school with credits spanning artists from Kendrick Lamar to Lil Wayne and brands from Disney and Sony Music to Netflix and the NBA. He is a U.S. patent holder and a published author, writing under his own imprint, The Forum Press.

This edition gathers the Hebrew text, a word-by-word gloss, the gematria of every word and verse, a plain English translation, and the classic commentaries into a single interlinear reading — offered free, and corrected in the open with the help of its readers. Book design and layout are by Yakira Shimoni Fulks.
