Torah: Word by Word is a free, read-only site published by The Forum Press, a subsidiary of Fulks Inc. There are no accounts, and we don't track you for advertising. Here's exactly what we receive and how we use it.
What we receive
- When you read. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, page, and time) for security and performance. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-less and only counts visits and page views in aggregate — it does not profile you, and it is the only measurement on this site. There are no advertising or social trackers.
- When you dedicate. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. From a dedication we receive your email address and the dedication text you enter, used to review, contact you about, and display your dedication.
- When you email us. If you send a correction or a question, we receive your message and address, used only to reply and to improve the text.
Cookies
We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe may set cookies on its own checkout pages to process your payment, and Google Fonts receives your IP address to deliver the typeface.
How we use it — and what we don't do
We use the above only to run the site, process and display dedications, reply to you, keep the site secure, and improve the text. We don't sell or rent your information. The third parties involved are Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and cookie-less analytics), and Google Fonts (typography).
Retention
We keep dedication records and correspondence only as long as needed for the purposes above — a published dedication is kept while it is displayed — or as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information — including removing a dedication — by emailing info@theforumpress.com.
Your rights by region
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may ask us to know, delete, or correct personal information and to opt out of any sale — and we don't sell it; residents of other U.S. states with privacy laws (such as Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut) have comparable rights. If you are in the EEA or the United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR), we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the site and, for a dedication, to perform our agreement with you; you may access, correct, erase, restrict, port, or object to that processing, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Because the site is operated from the United States, your information is transferred to and processed there. To exercise any right, email info@theforumpress.com.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
International visitors & changes
The site is operated from the United States; if you visit from elsewhere, you consent to the processing described here. We may update this notice; the date above will change when we do.
