"All these things" – those stated above:

"And it came to pass, when Jeremiah had finished speaking..." — that is, the words which the Lord sent him to speak to all these things. The meaning is that even the conclusion of his speech, which appeared to have been said on his own initiative—namely, that he informed them that it was not in their thoughts to listen to the words of the prophet—this too the Lord commanded him to say to them. For although this matter [of heeding God] is one of free choice, and they had the power to heed the voice of the Lord, the Lord revealed to him their thoughts: that they were deceiving the prophet, and that they had agreed not to listen even if the Lord commanded them not to go to Egypt. But they thought that Jeremiah had said this on his own accord, as the plain sense of his words seemed to indicate, as I explained: that from verse 19, "the Lord has spoken against you," these are Jeremiah's own words. Therefore, they suspected him that he had uttered the entire prophecy from his own spirit. Hence they said:

(B-C) You are speaking falsely, for Baruch ben Neriah is inciting you. They thought that Baruch had gone in and moved among the people and heard their opinion that they desired in any case to go to Egypt. He reported this to Jeremiah, and he [Baruch] incited him [Jeremiah] to this [course of action]. Furthermore, since they reasoned that according to natural circumstances Nebuchadnezzar would harm them for the killing of Gedaliah, and it was better to flee from his hand, how then is it possible that the Lord would command them to remain in a place of danger, requiring Him to change Nebuchadnezzar's choice? This would be a miracle beyond nature, and the Lord will not perform a miracle as long as there is a possibility of escaping by natural means. Therefore, they did not believe in his prophecy.

"For Baruch..." It is possible that they had a dispute and quarrel with Baruch, and therefore they suspected him of this, that he was inciting Jeremiah against them to prophesy to them to remain there, in order that they might be handed over into the hands of the Chaldeans. "And they came into the land of Egypt, because they did not listen" — this means that due to their failure to heed the voice of the Lord, it came about that they entered Egypt. For indeed, this was the final curse mentioned in Deuteronomy: "The Lord will bring you back to Egypt in ships." Thus, their entry was a punishment for their prior sins.

Rashi
“And you shall hide them in mortar.” This mem is a yesod nofel (an additional formative letter, not part of the root) in the word, like in the words makom, ma'amad, ma'aseh; and its root is lamed-tet, like “vayyalet panav” (1 Kings 19, “and he wrapped his face”). [The verse means:] to cover it within the clay in the mold; “bemelet” is “envelopamento” in the vernacular.
Radak
"In the mortar, in the brick-mold." *Melet* (mortar) is the material from which bricks are made, or another material, from lime and sand. *Malben* [refers to] the place where the bricks are fired, or the place where they are made. And Jonathan (Targum) rendered it 'be-tafil binyana' [in the plaster of the building].
Metzudat David
"With mortar, in the brick mold." They concealed them in the mortar at the place where the bricks were made. "At the entrance." Adjacent to the entrance:
Metzudat Zion
And you shall hide them. The language of hiding and concealing. "Be-melet." So is called the material made of lime and sand, and our Sages of blessed memory stated: "even though he plastered them" (Bava Batra 6a), and the explanation is that he prepared the space for the beams with lime. "Bemalben." This is the place where they make bricks.
Malbim
"Take in your hand" – this teaches that even a prophecy of retribution (which the Lord may revoke if the people improve their deeds) will not be revoked in any way if the prophet performs some symbolic act, for this indicates the firmness of the decree, as the Ramban wrote. Therefore, He commanded him to perform a symbolic act to indicate that the matter was firmly decreed and would not be changed.

Shafriro. His tent; and a similar example [of this usage] is: "By His spirit the heavens were made fair" (Job 26:13).
Radak
"Et shafruro [his pavilion]." It is written with a vav and read with a yod, and the meaning is the same, for the letters aleph-heh-vav-yod [the interchangeable weak letters] are interchangeable. Its interpretation is 'his tent,' and a beautiful tent is called 'shafrir' for its beauty, from [the phrase] 'words of beauty' (imrei shefer); and 'shafrir' is of the same pattern as 'sagrir' [a stormy day].
Metzudat David
"And you shall say to them" – to those Jews: Behold, I am sending. This means: I will arouse my heart to come here. "My servant." This means: one who carries out My mission. "And he shall spread out." He will pitch his tent over the stones.
Metzudat Zion
"Shafriro [his pavilion]." So is called the beautiful tent, and similarly [in the phrase] "by His spirit the heavens were made fair" (Job 26:13); and it is from the language of "He who gives words of beauty" (Genesis 49:21); and it comes on the pattern of "sagrir."

Rashi
“And he shall wrap the land of Egypt.” He shall bind up all her [Egypt's] spoil and depart, just as a shepherd wraps and rolls up his garment and casts it over his shoulders when he leads his flock before him.
Radak
"And he shall burn them and carry them off [into captivity]." He shall burn the houses in which the gods of Egypt are, and he shall carry off the gods of silver and the gods of gold; or alternatively, the interpretation is that he shall carry off their worshippers. "And he shall wrap himself up in the land of Egypt." That is to say, he shall plunder all its spoils. "Just as the shepherd wraps himself in his garment." Just as the shepherd wraps himself in his garment and coils himself up within it, so too he will coil up all the spoils of the land of Egypt. The reference to the shepherd is because the shepherd stands day and night in the wilderness with the flock, and he wraps himself tightly and hugs himself in his garment well, on account of the cold of the night. And my master and father, of blessed memory, explained: "Just as the shepherd travels from place to place, and when he travels from the place, he wraps the garment of the tent in which he dwells and goes on his way, leaving nothing behind in that place."
Metzudat David
"And He shall burn them and take them captive." This means: their gods of wood He shall burn, and their gods of silver and gold He shall take into captivity. "And he shall wrap." The spoil of the land of Egypt he will wrap up, to take everything, just as a shepherd, when he travels from place to place, wraps all his utensils with his garment to bring them with him, and does not leave any of them behind. "And he went out." Nebuchadnezzar went out from there in peace, and the men of Egypt could not take their property from his hand.
Metzudat Zion
"and I will kindle": The matter of kindling and burning, as it is written, "and it kindled in the thickets of the forest" (Isaiah 9:17). "and he will take them captive." From the language of captivity. "Ve'atah" (ועטה). "Ye'ateh" (יעטה) is a term meaning wrapping, and so too "me'uteh latavach" [wrapped for the slaughter] (Ezekiel 21): "His garment." With his garment:

“The altars of Beth Shemesh.” These are the altars that those who converted in the days of Hezekiah made there — the captives of Sennacherib, whom he had brought from Cush and from Egypt, before Jerusalem, on the day of his defeat, as it is stated (Isaiah 19:18): “On that day there shall be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan and swear to the Lord of Hosts; one of them shall be called Ir HaHeres [the City of Destruction].” And Targum Yonatan translates: “the city — [namely] Beth Shemesh, which is destined to be destroyed — shall be said to be one of them.”
Radak
Beth Shemesh. For they used to serve the sun there. And he [the verse] also remembers, "And the houses of the gods of Egypt he shall burn with fire," to strengthen the matter, to say that all of them he shall burn with fire, to the disgrace of their gods.
Metzudat David
The stones of Beth-shemesh. The stones that stood in the house where they served the sun as a divine service:
